The Nick & Josh Podcast: Version 1.5.

For those of you interested, we just got finished interviewing Tony Jones, National Coordinator of Emergent Village, for the 5th installment of our podcast. You can find it here.

And Nick’s site here.

Tony was kind enough to give us an hour of his time and share with us some of the things that are coming down the road from Emergent Village, how he deals with the criticism, and duck hunting of all things. Plus Brian McLaren calls in. Well . . . sort of.

There was also some rather strange talk of annexing Canada into Minnesota.

And as usual when I talk to superb people, I get really hyper and start talking fast, no to mention cutting off our guests in the middle of their thoughts. I’m still learning how to be hospitable and docile. Both difficult for me.

Check it out though. It’d be a whole lot cooler if you did.

Plus, we pay our respects to GOB with a Final Countdown intro.

yeah man, thanks for the love sent my way, of course I haven’t seen anyone from Minnesota go to my blog so I guess he, uh, just has been too busy to go. I think you should have the people you interview give you their favorite recipies and then you eat and rate the recipie.

“Where Emergent really shines is in the pub. It’s not so much in a narthex, but in a pub. That’s where we’re at our best.”
-Anna’s paraphrase. I chuckled. And agreed.

I’m also walking down the hall right now to tell Ed Stetzer you bashed Resurgent.

i didn’t bash ed stetzer or resurgent. i’ve personally shared with him my critiques and praise of what they’re attempting to do. and he knows where i disagree and agree.

but it is just like my wife to try and punk me out. remember when you ratted on me for cram-flossing to our dentist? typical.

have fun working for the man. :P

Josh,

I am half way through the interview right now. Enjoying it. I’ll be mentioning it at my blog once the second half is up.

Peace,
Jamie

P.S. Thanks for the shout out in the podcast. Just so you know, my very confusing last name is pronounced Are-Pin Ree-See.

Cram-flossing? This term cracked me up, mainly because I thought that was the only time/way to floss. That is to say, I thought when the dentist said “once a day”, what he really mean was “once a day for the two weeks leading up to your appointment.”

huh.

LOL! No apology needed. I am usually the one who has to apologize for the name. Thanks!

Just finished listening to it. By far, favorite part was the sniper-w/-high-power-rifles-with-silencers-sniping-deer-on-golf-courses-in-middle-of-night part.

no doubt about it.

I will say I am a bit upset that Tony Jones linked your blog from his blog for a podcast link, but I am happy for you. You need to leave this blog up for a while. Then maybe a blog with a link to mine, let me have the overflow from your cup. Please.
