Lost: Every Man For Himself

lostrecap.jpg

The guy with the pirate patch over his eye might be the guy who owned the glass eye that was with the Bible that the Tail Section people found in the hatch that they had.

Juliette is a fertility doctor. Perhaps they are doing some genetic testing.

Ben came into the room and said the “sub” was back. They have a submarine? In episode 1 when the intercom is crackling in Jack’s cell, it says, “Take the Galaga.” That’s the name of the sub maybe?

Loneliness is a sickness. Rousseau talked about a sickness. I’m wondering if the other island that Ben showed Sawyer is an island where there were sick people. Like Rousseau talked about.

There are two islands. The question now is are “The Others” and the Losties on the same island. Or are they each on a different one?

Desmond can see the future. Or at least parts of it. That’s why he directed the lighting from Claire’s hut to the golf club device he built.

“The Others” don’t know what the violet light was that happened when the hatch imploded because they talk about their coms being down after that point.

I think “The Others” aren’t the only group of “Others”. I think one group is on one island. And the other group is on the second island.

So far two of my theories are right. Juliette was a doctor. And Desmond can see some part of the future.

Anything else anybody else notice?

**!!UPDATE!!** I think The Others suburbia is on the other island. And the Hydra Station where they are keeping everyone at is on the new island.

Good deductions. Also in the preview for next week, Sawyer was told the only reason he is alive is because they need him. Benjamin says they are better at conning people than he is so what could they possibly need Sawyer for? Any ideas on what will happen with Ben’s tumor?

my friend jason thought that the tumor on the spinal xray jack saw belonged to locke. thus locke’s ability to walk again. and maybe causing another crisis of faith? or maybe the island somehow causes tumors to be benign ala rose? is it a tumor? maybe it’s genetic breeding inside people ala “alien”? seriously i never i know.

2 things were established last night that made me go . . hmmmmm - Juliette is a fertility Dr. and Sawyer became a Dad in the flashbacks. And the idea that they NEED Sawyer around for something?

yeah i think that fertility doctor is important. genetic testing maybe? cloning? why is that they always take kids?

to protect them from the other others? or for genetic testing? maybe they can’t have kids themselves on the island.

why is that locke can walk and rose’s cancer is healed because of the island but someone else has a tumor. i don’t think it’s ben’s tumor. maybe it is. but what if it’s locke’s tumor?

Why would the others con Sawyer about the pacemaker when the next day they would take him up and show him the other island?

I think that the other island is a fake…Ben tells Sawyer that they are better at cons then he is. There is one island. Why didn’t anyone ( losties, or tail section, or anyone on the boat Sun, Jin etc.) see the other island. Most of the lostaways have walked around most of the island, and they have never seen this other island. I think that you would notice something like that.

I also think that the person with the tumor is not Ben, but the higher person that the others talked about last season. The real person that is in charge of everything.

I don’t think Desmond can see the future but was actually in the future for awhile,(and saw things happen, i.e. lighting hitting claire’s tent), after the hatches implosion.

good call about the future jessica.

it’d be tough to make the island fake. but they could have easily not seen it if the other island is big. they didn’t see their suburbia. it could just be on the tip of the island below their suburbia. so if they didn’t make it to suburbia, they definitely wouldn’t make it to the tip of the island that showed the other island.

and it takes a long time to circum-nav an island. it took us almost 12 hours to circum-nav antigua and we were in a speed boat that was hauling a. so everytime they go out, they could just be on the far end of the first island. going back and forth in a half arc. never coming around to the back side of it.

unless of course there is some sort of cloaking going on.

maybe there are tunnels beneath the islands too.

i also just found out there is going to be another hatch called the arrow hatch.

Ben and his people were born and raised to adults on the island much like a religious enclave. They are all genetically enhanced and see themselves as superior. The black mist and mechanical sentinels were created to both protect them and keep them in check as they matured. Long ago the original labs were abandoned as the founders of the Dharma initiative died or were killed off… Remember, Dharma is “natural law.” Visit Wikipedia and look at the common words resulting from the Sanskrit. The founders were attempting to create a perfect, self-contained, highly ethical society, and one that would not implode or disintegrate at contact with the outside world. The Others keep this dream alive and “farm” the survivors of Oceanic like cattle for new DNA, organs, blood, bone, and supplies. Ben happens to be the most cunning and so leads. Sawyer/James is going to be harvested for something. Each of the survivors of Oceanic has had or will have some level of experimentation and testing performed on them. Each passenger and crewperson aboard 815 were handpicked for their attributes as subjects or as raw materials. Desmond didn’t bring down the plane when he failed to enter the numbers. He was being observed the entire time. Now he has injected himself so many times with the same or similar drugs used on the Others that he has become prescient, as many of them may be. The flight of Oceanic 815 was brought down specifically to keep the Others satiated and under control. As long as they have people to play with, they are not trying to escape their virtual prison of the two islands and the world is safe from their machinations. They can never leave, but the survivors of Oceanic still have a window for escape. One plot line this season should have one or more members of the Others defect to the Oceanic tribe. When one of the defectors is killed for disloyalty, the other gains trust. Desmond and perhaps the aloof John Locke (natural rights) will change camps and join the Others.

Let’s not forget that the magnetic field has only recently been changed. Perhaps that is why we can now see another island?
