Top 10 TV Shows Of All Time

Alright, I’m almost back. I’ve been really busy lately and have sort of lost my desire to blog. Which I’m sure is evident to most since all I can seem to care about these days in the blogging world is lame YouTube videos. Blogging has just started to feel so vain and cyclical at times. At least the what I’ve let my blog devolve into over the past year.

Now I’m having some sort of a mid-life crisis of blogging. Which a lot of people seem to be going through these days. So I’m going to try and get back to letting this blog be more of a forum for my thoughts. More of an online journal the way I started it off as 4 years ago.

So I really have no idea how the top tv shows of all time fit into this. But Anna and I talked about it all weekend. And these are the best ones we could come up. She wanted to add Silver Spoons and Charles in Charge but I couldn’t even put them in my Honorable Mention Category. And something about Fraggle Rock.

So without further ado, here are my votes for the top 10 TV shows of all time. You’re free to leave yours in the comments. But don’t critique my list or rip on me for putting LOST ahead of 24. I fully understand the ramifications of their inverted order to most people.

TOP 10 TV SHOWS OF ALL TIME (in my estimation)

I can’t believe American Gladiators is tenth. I mean, the thing where the contestant is on the floor, and the gladiator is up in the booth with the gun that shoots tennis balls? cmon, that is like the best TV has ever had to offer. Incredible.

    i’ll pretend i didn’t hear that jessica.

eric, i agree. anna and i talked about the other day how that is our favorite contest of all. but for as cool as that is, do we need to talk about how lame the football tackling game was?

Well okay, no ripping. But there are only 2 in your top ten that I would put in mine. Wings and The Cosby Show.

Where’s Mad About You? Or the Dick van Dyke Show? Or Earth 2? Okay, I was kidding about the last one.

Those are some pretty good picks…
But if you’re going for nostalgia picks, which you obviously are…
What about CHiPs? The A Team? Knight Rider?
Quantum Leap and Wings are both great calls.
I’d put Welcome Back, Kotter in my top five.
And probably Scrubs and Malcolm in the Middle somewhere in the list.
    And definitely The Simpsons.
    Freaks and Geeks sucked.
Arrested Development might be my number one as well…thanks for that.
And I know that you know you’re wrong…cause 24 is definitely better than Lost.
“and just so you know jessica sucks!”

p.s. our dogs would totally be friends.

Some good picks here man. Love that you’ve included both Quantum Leap and American Gladiators. Question. How did Newhart, Wings, G.I. Joe and Alf all beat out The Simpsons?

Second question: Did you ever secretly wish to be one of the American Gladiators? If so, what did you hope your Gladiator name would be?

well i was always partial towards lazer. cause i like things that change the “s” to a “z” in the spelling. but to be honest, i invented a wrestler name one time called skye (spelt with an e) and i always felt like he would one day cross over from the wwf to american gladiators if only given the chance. so skye since he’s my alter ego wrestling name.

    you?

you’re missing the great “firefly”, as well as “dark angel”, and the wunderful “street hawk”, and “maninmal”

Since I was an astronomy buff as a kid, I once thought the name “Orion” would be pretty cool. So Orion it is!
