On Christmas.

“When Christians take the Christmas narrative seriously, the practice of gift-exchange within a closed circle of family and friends becomes problematic. If our lives are to mirror the ways of God, then we must break open the closed circle of exchange so that Christmas gifts flow outward to those with profound needs.”
— Miroslav Volf

That’s a tad bit on the convicting side.

Hey, why is there a big black box on the RCD website? and don’t you blame it on Safari because it shows up in Firefox too.

cause it’s just a rough shell from something i was working on a couple of months ago. and i just switched servers/host and decided to go with this instead of the flash. and i just haven’t had a chance to work out the kinks.

think about this too . . . God’s gift was in the dark, in a stable (not really anybody else around). I take that as an example that we aren’t really supposed to flaunt our giving to those in need either. In fact, giving in secret is better. Only God can get the glory! Excellent quote.

Yeah but God had to make that big ass star to say. . . “Hey wise men. . shephards come look at me. . . Hey Herod. . you better kill all those babies cause this one is going to kick some butt”. . ehh. . . I mean he basically made a spotlight and then he had to have some people put it into a narrative form.
