with all due respect, CNN’s headline is “Hussein Hanged”… so it’s practically the same.

if i say “with all due respect,” you can’t get mad at me, no matter what i say.

so it’s practically the same.

Not really…

There is a big difference between giving a headline saying, “Hussein Hanged” and plastering “HANGED!” across the image of the man.

they must have changed it.

i just thought it was funny that fox represented their biases with what felt like a celebratory graphic that he was getting hanged. showing a portrait of saddam who looked deranged.

cnn showed their biases by using a picture of saddam dignified in a suit and put the date of his birth and death. like john lenin or gerald ford had just died.

i personally liked how npr showed the many faces and sides of Saddam. showing how much he morphed and evolved depending on what his agenda was. showing a picture of him when the US put him in power to subvert Iran was a very helpful reminder of how our politics in the present create problems in the future.
