Tech-President
I’ve stumbled upon a great little site called techPresident. It focuses on the use of web 2.0, social sites in the upcoming presidential election. Basically it’s an aggregater of sorts for YouTube, Flickr, and MySpace. And tracks how much activity canditates are generating online. They then do their best to translate that out into “poll” numbers. If nothing else it is very interesting to take a look at the trends.
I haven’t said much about the elections yet (although you’ve probably seen my Obama ‘08 banner in the sidebar), but I think this election is going to be heavily influenced by the use of technology.
Bill Clinton won because he went on the Arsenio Hall show and played the saxophone. People underestimated that one single move. But it was huge in winning him the election because it got young voters out to vote for him.
I believe strongly that this up and coming election will be determined by the 30 and under crowd. And I think so many of us are restless and tech/web-savy on top of it, that candidates who can successfully communicate their message via these social networking sites will be the ones who win our vote.
Mark it down. The election in ‘08 will be marked and decided by the 30 and under daily/social web-users.

Very cool link. thanks for the write up on it.
great link
i think we might be smarter this go-round too. on the other hand, we tend to overestimate our intelligence in relation to our ancestors most of the time. i guess we’ll find out.
