This is the Iraq that you don’t see on CNN and definitely not FOX. Or any other U.S. based news for that matter.

It’s an 10 minute video. It’s beautiful, sad, inspiring, fragile, humble.

You should watch it.

    I really believe that if more Americans saw stuff like this frequently - showcasing how life in Iraq has improved since 2003 - that there would be more patience. Too many of us see this as a political issue, when it fact it is a social one.

    Germany and Japan were not rebuilt and stabilized in a short amount of time. We should not expect it to be so in Afghanistan or Iraq. We knew this part would take time, but too many are willing to sabotage the effort for political gain.

    For yet another perspective of what life in post-Saddam Iraq is like I would suggest viewing an amazing documentary called Iraq In Fragments.

    Just remember, we each see and tell the story in our own way.
