LOST Recap.

This is heavy on spoilers and short on theories. So if you’re not into spoilers, then don’t read. Because I’m going to lay them on thick tonight.

This is the 3rd or 4th time we’ve seen a game of chess. Locke playing with Walt. The two Portugese guys who worked for Penny in the Anartic were playing before they saw the blip on the radar. And now the computer. Again it might be another play on the “black” and “white” pieces. Which Locke spent a lot of time talking about in Season 1. And again it connects with the black and white stones found on Adam & Eve, which were the ones that Desmond had on the table when he fell while painting.

I’m not sure I believe much of what Patchy said. Even at the end when he said he was telling the truth. But I’m sure Ms. Klugh was there trying to reestablish some sort of communications link to the mainland. That’s the only thing I believe in what was said.

As far as the conversation between Patchy and Ms. Klugh before she was shot. Here is the translation from Russian to English.

“Woman: Mikhail! You know what to do. Mikhail: We still have another way. Woman: We cannot risk. Woman: You know what to do. Mikhail: We still have another way. Woman: We cannot risk. You know the conditions. Mikhail: We have another way. Woman: They know us. We will ot let them [unintelligible]. You know what to do. It is an order. Mikhail: But we still have another way! (pause) I’m sorry!” (shoots)

So I definitely think Patchy was working with Ms. Klugh. My only speculation now is . . . were they working with Ben & the Others? Or was Ms. Klugh some sort of double-agent spy?

But it is clear that the communication has gone down between the Others and the mainland from the explosion and purple flash in the sky.

I’m also a bit skeptical of Rousseau at this point. It seemed a bit odd. Like Patchy knew her when he heard her voice. I’m not so sure that she’s not with them as well.

****SPOILER ALERT****

Jack & Claire are definitely related.

Charlie beats up Sun. Sun covers it up and says the Others tried to take her.

Charlie is not going to be back next season.

Jack has made a deal with the Others. Kate finds out when they get there.

Locke is on some sort of “destructive path”. Ben makes a deal with him to basically “calm down” and he’ll answer any question that he has.

There is going to be a new character introduced towards the end of this season. Who will be a regular.
