...and by the way, i feel bad for john piper. at least what he said to his daughter was informed by his theology, whether we agree with him on that point or not. what theology informed the way you and mr. paggit "slammed" him?

i generally liked your blog, until this back and forth with ken silva caught my attention. as far as i've been able to tell, most exchanges with him haven't been very edifying to anyone, and this one is no different.

this is really sad. as far as i can tell, everyone is slamming everyone. it doesn't seem very constructive or loving, it's just mean.

Do you ever find yourself thinking that people ought to take a step back and consider that all the anger there is over at websites like Apprising Ministries and Slice just might actually be coming from the Lord?

Hehehe. I missed the Bible verse that says, "God demands us to make angry personal attacks against people we don't understand."

I am still waiting for Ken to attack Ingrid for being a woman and asserting authority.

And I still think that all of those sites may be parodies. They can't be real. Right?

Josh - you have made the big time; getting attacked by Ken is big stuff. Pretty soon he will talk about you in another post, and mention Rick Warren, Brian McClaren, Purpose Driven, and Emergent - you know, you need to make sure you keep increasing the search engine hits.

If the seeker friendly movement filled our churches with false professions of a shallow Christianity, I have little doubt that you and your like will be the ones to clean them out again. For if there were no heresies among us, those who falsely professed Christ would be much harder to recognize (1 Corinthians 11:19; Romans 16:17).

Submit to Scripture. The hardest of all idol to destroy is the one we set up in the throne room of our own imaginations. It is built of a substance so strong, that to destroy it would require a powerful instrument more sharper than any two-edged sword: The Bible (Hebrews 4:12).
