” ” = Italics.
I’m writing some of my posts for the week on a lazy Sunday and I just realized how much I overuse and improperly use quotation marks in my writing. The truth is I know that I’m using them wrongly. But for some reason it’s so much easier to just use those as I type without having to take my hands off the keyboard and go hit the italics button. I suppose I could just be leet and type my posts in html, but then instead of making 2 key strokes (” & “) I’d have to make 7 (<i> </i>). So I’m sorry for my poor writing skillz. Please suffer with me through improper quotation marks because it makes it easier for me.

I don’t use the rich text editor, but can’t you hit Ctrl-I to toggle it? Or Apple-I or whatever?

Eric, Josh is on a Mac, so nothing will quite work how it should. Mac knows best, y’know.

I was going to second the “Ctrl-I” suggestion – but I don’t know any Mac stuff!
Best wishes – I think readers can just tolerate the “” marks.

See I come over just to make sure my name isn’t being dragged through the mud and here it is, I have no hope.
But I agree, I get lazy on my blogs or I am in such a rush that I forgo good proof reading.
