Friday Is For Friends: Julie Clawson

In case you don’t remember, I’m going to be highlighting some people from my RSS reader every other Friday. Previously, I highlighted Troy Bronsink. This week I’m a cheerleader for Julie Clawson.

I have no idea why it took me so long to find/follow Julie’s blog, but I discovered it after our podcast with her on The Nick & Josh Podcast. After that, her blog has been a daily read of mine.

Julie is one of the few people blogging who consistently blogs CONTENT. Most bloggers have a really bad habit of talking about nothing new except letting people know about their gym work-out or what they ate for dinner. Unfortunately, I’m all too often one of these types of bloggers. But not Julie, each of her posts are well thought out and rich in reflection.

Some of her noteworthy posts include Women In The Emerging Church, Linguistic History and Biblical Interpretation, and Rejection, Redemption, and Roots, to name but a few. Here’s a recent post that is just as good on negativity.

She is in the process of planting a church in Yorkville, Illionois. And if you’re not reading her blog on a regular basis . . . you’re missing out.

And this is your bi-weekly edition of Friday Is For Friends. Be sure to tip your waitresses.
