Top Fifteen Songs of 2007.
Inspired by John’s Page response to my Top 10 Albums of 2007 . . . that we live in an age of singles because of iTunes and it’s odd to list a whole album . . . I’ve decided to do a top “singles” of 2007 list. Some of these songs were off my Top Albums list but some of them weren’t. And while I neither endorse nor condone this site . . . you may or may not be able to listen to these songs via that medium.
What songs would you add? Take away? What good music can you recommend that I’m missing out on?

14. Fake Empire – The National
13. Help Me Out Here – The Cobalt Season
12. The Great Escape – Patrick Watson
11. Intervention – Arcade Fire
10. On Call – Kings of Leon
9. West Coast – Coconut Records
8. Grace Kelly – Mika
7. I Feel It All – Feist

I am clearly out of the indie music loop. I’ve only heard #13 and #1 and love them both.
Off the top of my head, I would add “Do I Wake or Sleep” by Homer Hiccolm and the Rocketboys (http://www.myspace.com/rocketboys), “Chin Up” by Copeland (http://www.myspace.com/copeland), and “OK It’s Alright With Me” by Eric Hutchinson (http://www.myspace.com/erichutchinson).

definitely into the white stripes and the kings of leon. i need to look into some of the others.
i’d have to add something from the nightwatchman, although i’m not sure what song exactly. the whole record is good and its pretty cohesive.

What? No Kingsbury Manx? I feel so cheated, even violated.
Oh, and Jake I’ll take your “only heard 2 of them”, and raise you a “only heard none of them”.
