julie. the polar bears were just part of the dharma initiative. and their genetic testing. the station (hydra) that they kept jack, kate, and sawyer at was where they did all the testing on the animals. as a spoiler, you're going to see the polar bears again and in an interesting place.

I watched the season finale special last night. I've got to say, I was really, really upset with the "pop up video" type shenanigans that they pulled. It was like LOST for Dummies, on crack. There is obviously a writers strike, because whoever wrote that dialogue must obviously not what they are doing.

..Looks like our heroes are in for a bad day...

...that scary guy is Ben Linus...

...Lock is a spiritual guy...

AARRGGHHH. Don't try to dumb down this show!!

In other news... I am excited. I hope the story line continues to blur the lines between good and evil. I think that has always been a major force in the character development, and in the overall story. I think good and evil play as characters on the show, not just as moral directives, but as driving story lines. The cool thing about that is that good and evil are fluid and shapable... Maybe I'm too deep into it though.

As I was re-reading this John did see Jacob. It was a flash right before he ran out of the room. I had watched that episode 2 times before I actually saw the person sitting in the chair. Freaked me out a bit...lol

I had my dvd player in slow mo trying to get a freeze frame and when I finally got it, I did not recognize the man to look like another character.
