Become A Farmer: Step 1.
So I’m on my way to an interview today for either part-time labor or a worker’s share for a local organic farm and their co-op. I wonder if farmers frown upon it when a suburban boy rolls down their gravel drive way on a Vespa? Or do I get street cred because they’re into sustainability? UPDATE: I got the job and I start next Friday.

from what i understand, light stuff. repotting tomatoes, driving the tractor, tilling the ground, etc. should be exciting.

I miss driving the tractor on my dad’s farm. Not sure what the ground is like down south, but if they ask you to “pick rock”, fake some kind of illness and run away quickly.

Awesome! You’ll enjoy.
I’ve been volunteering at our local coop, not a farm, but still working in the food system
