Indian Taxi Fund: Last Call

This is the last call on the Indian Taxi Fund. We’ve raised about $3000 in a month. Which is freaking huge! So thank you, thank you thank you. To the individual loaners, to those who have partnered with their church, to those who bought books (still some available) to those who took advantage of the Red Cowboy promotion . . . . you guys all rock!

We’re going to do this for more 2 weeks and then quit and loan whatever we have raised up to that point. Amit and his wife are in desperate need of some immediate medical treatment for their pregnancy. So we went ahead and donated $300 to get them by for the next 3 weeks.

In that time period, I’d love to raise as much as we can. If we don’t hit our goal of $7500, then I’d at least like to get as close as possible to it.

As a cluster and after some business counseling with Amit, we have made the decision that if we can not raise the full amount of $7500, then we will loan what we have so that they are able to open a grocery store selling groceries and medical supplies within the slum and section of the city that they live in. Amit will run the store during the pregnancy and after the birth of their child, his wife will take over and run the store while Amit continues to plant and pastor churches as well as hopefully teaching at the university.
