That beach tent rocks, bro. Seriously. I’m looking for one now.

its called the kelty shadehouse. its not really a tent but more of a canopy. the only downside is the price. anna wanted to buy one of those cheap $100 ones that weigh 100 pounds, and are crazy long and are made cheaply. we almost bought one of those but decided to drop the big bucks on something that would last and let dylan use all the time when we’re at the beach. so that’s the only downside is that the price is upwards of $200+. i will say this though, anna was skeptical and she said if i couldn’t convince her within the first couple of days of use, that we had to take it back. she was convinced within about 15 minutes. its super-light weight and fits in a little stow bag. and after 5 times of putting it up, we get it put up with 2 people in less than 5 minutes. the first couple of times, it takes about 10 minutes to get used to it. highly recommended. and by highly i mean A++++.

thanks man, that is exactly the kind of info i was looking for. we’ve looked into buying some of the bigger and bulkier ones that cost less, but they looked painful to lug around and set up. i’m willing to pay more if the end result and quality is better overall, and it helps to have someone’s real experience with the product before buying. it looks like you have a BOB stroller in the picture…(i could be wrong) but after looking around for a stroller and weighing the pros and cons before buying that awesome getup, the price is more up front but the overall ease, quality, and portability sold us on it, especially after seeing it in action from some other folks. so i thought that we may be on a similar page in terms of baby equipment…our son is turning one today and it has been cool to see you blogging on family stuff. i know all the theology and emergenty stuff has been good too, but maybe because its that having a kid changes you in ways you never expected, but i enjoy seeing the small adventures and pics of your family enjoying life together. thanks for the info on the canopy and its fun to have you blogging again.
Comments Please.
The World Is Mine
When despair for the world grows in me, and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be ... I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought or grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free. - Wendell Berry
