Recent Designs.

Here are some recent designs. I haven’t had much time to update anything lately. And there are a bunch more. But here’s what I could find real quick.

For a series for Bay Community.

For a series for FUMC Mansfield.

The cover of Talk of the Bay Magazine (I’m helping launch it with my parents).

An inside interview with a local school principal.

My ad for the magazine.

A logo for Riverstone Student Camp

A menu redesign for Soci’s. This is the front cover.

Website design for Wiregrass Church.

Website design for Creative Grace.

Recent Designs.

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted any of the designs or updates via Red Cowboy. I guess it’s because I was all over the place in December and early January. Now that I’ve had a couple of full weeks back under my belt, things are starting to hum along nicely.

We’re really excited about being able to partner with 5 new global small businesses in the last month. We have now made 35 loans in less than 18 months via our commitment to loan 5% of all profits to small businesses like ourselves around the globe. This month we’ve partnered with Nuriniso Kenchaeva who started a pharmacy in Tajikistan, the Morenita Hga Group in Peru who started a general store, a group led by Nasreen Akhter in Pakistan selling fruits and vegetables, Prossy Nakiymji’’s Group in Uganda who started a medical clinic, and the Kheweul Group in Senegal who are selling hand-dyed batiks. We are also proud of the fact that 85% of our micro-loans have been made to women, helping empower them as they move out of the shadows in their male dominated cultures.

Other than that . . . we’re just doing what we do. Listening to good music and whistling while we work. Check out our site and be sure to tell your friends about us. And if you want to get on the email list, leave your email in the comments. Thanks.

The first set of designs was for NorthBridge Church in Pittsburgh. This is one of a series of cards with different content (same front) that will be given to visitors explaining various things about the church, i.e. the environments, what we believe, etc. Pretty straight forward on the design elements. I had to pack in a lot of text on the back of the cards so it’s pretty scaled back. But I think the background really sets it up nicely and the grey/black contrasts pretty well against it.

This piece was done for Interyouth in Geneva, Switzerland getting the word out about their Take Action Meetings with Amnesty International and Interyouth. This design is really all about the photo which conveys the whole “turning a blind eye to injustice” idea. I liked the black and white image but didn’t want to leave the text all white. It would have just washed out the whole piece. So I went back in and popped the words human rights in red, which I think provided enough contrast.

This is the inside artwork for a flier. I’m still tweaking it. This is for the Kairos Retreat, which is put on by some Catholic groups in Switzerland. Pretty straight forward. Again, I was working with a whole lot of text. I’ll be building them a video roll-in for the retreat as well so I’ll post that when I’m done with it.

Here are a couple of the stationary pieces that I did for Interyouth using their existing logo identity that we did back in the Fall. Just two basic designs out of the group that I sent them.

Recent Designs.

Here are a few designs that I’ve done over the last week or so. As always, please be kind and tell your friends about us at Red Cowboy. And remember the new site is up and running. So go check it out. And if you want to receive weekly emails from Red Cowboy, let me know. I also tweaked Tony Jones blog a bit to warm it up at which point he said some rather nice things about me. I used the image from the Vespa Blog since so many of you said you liked it.

On a side note, I’m having trouble with the blog feed for our design blog. Any takers on helping me figure it out?

madd3_rave.jpg

This was a project for Interyouth (still working on the site). And my good friends Josh & Laura Case over at YFC. It’s for a fun run in Geneva Switzerland.

verbier_skirave.jpg

Another rave flier for YFC. This one is for a ski retreat in January.

These 2 shirt designs were for LIFT Ministries in Boston. Believe it or not, they host a modern worship gathering for Catholic college students. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know that demographic existed. But they are great people and seem to be doing some really nice things for the collegiate in Boston.

And this is a simple rave card for a church in Oklahoma as they relaunch their children’s ministry. I had to stick with a preexisting design, but I think it turned out ok.

Recent Designs.

Red Cowboy Designs is at it again (although my site is still in the middle of getting overhauled).

It’s been a while since I’ve updated any of my recent work on here but it’s been busy and I haven’t really had a chance to stop. I’ve got some more I’ll post on here soon but don’t want to overload you here or slow down your browser.

dashday_graphic_hurtparents.jpg

Just one of the posters for a series that was used at Catalyst by DASH in their alt/worship space.

smallgroupsintro_front.jpg

Some promotional rave cards for DASH Day.

More of the same.

jimandcasper.png

A quick little splash landing page I did for OffTheMap for the Jim & Casper Go To Church book & DVD.

offthemap.png

We redid the OffTheMap website to streamline their content and to turn into more of a hub for all of their websites which include DoableEvangelism (which used the same template), Church Rater, Conversation at the Edge, The eBay Atheist, Justice & Compassion, and OTM Live. If you haven’t been by OffTheMap in a while you really need to swing by one of their sites and check out some of the rather interesting things they’re doing to subvert the traditional understandings of “evangelism”.

youthforchristgeneva.png

The new website for Youth For Christ Geneva for my friend Josh Case. The site is on the back of a new content management system that I will now be offering as a web option for clients via CowboyManager.com (more info and tutorials on this to come).
