Friday Is For Playlists.
Well I think it’s been about a month since I’ve updated or put this up. Not that anybody even cares. But it is the soundtrack to my design and blogging days. Anyway . . . Jack Johnson came out with a new cd. And I’ve listened to G. Love’s whole discography of about 200 songs close to 4 times all the way through. So I think I’m subconsciously ramping up for the summer.

I almost forgot to post my bi-weekly playlist. Although I’m not sure anyone would care. But I think music provides you with more context of where I am than half the words I put down here. So here’s my presumptuous list. Wyclef Jean came out with part to Carnival (one of the top 10 albums of all time in my book?). It’s no where near as good but is catchy nonetheless. Yael Naim makes an appearance (the song from the MacBook Air commercial). And then a steady diet of Ben Harper, Mason Jennings, Willy Mason, and Jack Johnson who had the privilege of being in my work playlist this week.

* Bonus: 551 different songs this week which would last 1.4 days or 2.5 gigabytes of music

I love music. It goes without saying. Jack Johnson has a new album coming out and so I’ve been wearing out the new single. And I guess since we had a little warm snap it’s put me in “summer mood”. I don’t know how people live in cold locations when they could live at the beach. It’s like the Caribbean every day. In that vein I’ve been listening to Julie Blue by Joe Purdy (you may remember Wash Away from LOST). Other than that Band of Horses continues to give me hope for Southern Rock and the Juno soundtrack isn’t half bad either.

* Bonus: 344 different songs this week which would last 21.3 hours; or 1.66 gigabytes of music

It’s that time again . . . my two week I can’t get this music out of my head list. As you can see, I can’t not play The National’s Boxer from start to finish. It is such a solid album all the way through. The Plot is still getting plenty of play a month later and Rivers Cuomo covering Weezer’s B-Side Longtime Sunshine shot to the top in less than 5 days. What are you listening to? Any good music for me to check out?

* Bonus: 579 different songs this week which would last 1.5 days; or 2.94 gigabytes of music
