New Podcast Up.
We’ve got a new episode up with Ted Karpf and Josh Case.
Do you remember when you used to have to take those standardized tests? There would always be one of these types of quetions . . . “Hot is to cold as tall is to _____.”
The answer is short by the way.
But The Nick & Josh Podcast is to the Emerging Church what Kathy Griffin is to a celebrity. This means we’re essentially D-Listers. Which is a really nice place to be because it means you can take shots at anybody without fear of consequence (tongue in cheek). All that being said, if you listen to the podcast much you hear me and Nick talk about Kathy Griffin a lot. She’s kind of like the unofficial mascot of the podcast.
Anyway . . . I bring this up because Kathy Griffin is in the news and Sojourners is writing about it. And when people take shots at Kathy Griffin . . . well we take care of our mascots and we rally the troops to her aid.
Our new episode is up with Scot McKnight. Check out the site for details.
This week Nick and I talk with Jim Henderson from Off The Map. He stops by to tell us about what he does and his new conference Off The Map Live 2007.
Nick and I both used to log into Off The Map and constantly used it as a reference for evangelism. They both remember watching the Lost Interviews at YS Conferences.
Jim is a pretty cool guy. It is great to have met him. He is the only person that has been on this podcast that actually has two souls. Remember when Hemant Mehta sold his soul on ebay? Jim won the auction. He continually thinks and creates new ways to enter into relationships and conversations. His book Jim and Casper go to Church talks about Jim hiring an atheist to go with churches with him and give him feeback on each one.
Matt & Jessica reflect on their time on Oprah sharing their nervousness and emotions. I can’t say this enough. These are good people doing a good thing. If you’re not a partner with Kiva, you need to go now and loan $25. It’s that easy.
